Progress

Shouldn't be long now. Progress shot of a commission piece I'm working on.

My friend Leah is working on a really great documentary and could use a little extra help. If you get a chance, take a look. And by all means contribute if you are able.

Aisle 1 • Show Me Your Tax Bracket

This is the piece I did for the debut show at Aisle 1 Gallery on Cherokee. It was a great opening, complete with cupcakes. The show was the same weekend as the SGC printmaking conference, which was a little piece of fantastic. There were probably something like 20 shows up and down Cherokee...and a parade, with a 10 foot pinĂ¥ta bull. No, I unfortunately did not see the bull meet its end. Other than that it was a great night.

I'll be having a split solo at Aisle 1 this coming September with Joy Chokchai
Should be pretty boss! We are about to start plotting and planning, probably wringing hands together dramatically. You get the idea.

Soulard Market

Gotta love it. Don't gotta try it.

Front page illustration for the West End Word. The paper was recently purchased, so this will more than likely be my parting contribution. I kind of like that big ole tubby cat. I got a little too wrapped up in the idea of drawing him and sort of neglected to consider exactly how it tied into the story...something about internet sales taxes...

Anyway, that's why I haven't been posting much. There was a solo show somewhere in there, and then the unceremonious sale of the paper. In other words, real life happens from time to time. Over all lesson folks, i haven't figured it out yet. In the meantime I should be back to posting more often...for the 7 people that follow haha.
